2025 was a fantastic year for New York Angels.
We supported our Founders with strong initial and follow-on funding.
We attracted a record number of new Members.
We meaningfully expanded our relationships with Partners in the start-up ecosystem.
All this amidst uncertainty around markets, geopolitics, and the availability of capital.
SUPPORTING OUR FOUNDERS
At the heart of NYA is unrelenting support for our Founders, and in 2025 we:
Funded 36 companies, 19 new and 17 follow-on rounds
Deployed over $10 million in investments
Helped Founders accelerate growth:
Capital to accelerate customer success and insurance company interest in its gas/water leak real time detection
Funding to capitalize on its widely successful beta in real life mobile gaming app
DELIVERING QUALITY DEAL FLOW AND RESULTS TO OUR MEMBERS
We drew on NYA Members’ deep sector and operating experience. Leveraging this collective operating experience enables us to identify and attract strong deal flow, conduct insightful diligence, and advise and mentor invested companies.
In 2025, we:
Brought over 120 highly curated companies to our investment funnel.
Delivered a strong >45x investment return from one investment.
Generated competitive returns, as shown by the performance of our side car funds.
Provided >$1mm in additional capital to Founders/portfolio diversification to our members with a record $2.6mm+ side car fund.
ATTRACTING RECORD NUMBER AND MORE DIVERSE MEMBERS
2025 saw our membership:

Participate in more hybrid meeting options and flexible work situations…
…which helped us attract more young, full-time workers into NYA.
LEADING PARTNERSHIPS WITH BROADER EARLY-STAGE FUNDING ECOSYSTEM
NYA has always partnered in the start-up ecosystem, but in 2025 we launched initiatives that expanded access to Angel funding for Founders and improved deal flow for our Members and other Angel Investors.
We hosted preview days with Plug and Play and Techstars with over 20 angel groups in attendance, viewing pitches from 46 companies and raising over $2.4mm in funding for start-ups.
Expanded relationships with universities and accelerators.
