YTD INVESTMENTS

In 2022, New York Angels individual members made investments of $8.8M year-to-date.

SEPTEMBER INVESTMENT HIGHLIGHTS

Medcura
New York Angels members invested in Medcura for the third time since 2017.  Medcura is a first-of-its-kind surgical hemostat platform that uses safe, inert ingredients with proprietary chemistry to serve a broad spectrum of consumer and clinical applications.  Medcura has successfully grown its distribution through a strong network of national pharmacies.  New York Angels members were impressed with their CEO, Larry Tiffany, and the potential of their core product to be useful in controlling bleeding in a number of different clinical situations.  Over recent years, the company recognized that the initial plan would need to be modified and identified an even better initial early revenue opportunity.

COMPANY EXIT

Motion Intelligence
Cambridge Mobile Telematics, the world's largest telematics service provider, purchased Motion Intelligence for it's cutting-edge technology to prevent distracted driving.  Together, Cambridge Mobile Telematics and Motion Intelligence will continue to make the world's roads and drivers safer.  Motion Intelligence's Evvy app prevents distracted-driving caused by mobile devices before they occur.
